In spite of the fact that there are three more factories in Kasimov, this one usually designate as simply "factory". "Settlement of factory", " Bus stop "Factory", "I work at factory"... And everyone in town understands clearly, what factory the question is - Kasimov Net-making Factory... Factory as though from a capital letter... This capitalizing is account for that factory - one of the oldest Kasimov enterprises and the largest in the town. Not long ago it was leading enterprise in the country on manufacture net-gear materials. For the powerful contribution to a national economy of the country the enterprise was awarded with a high government award - order "The Mark of Honour".
     "Kasimov Net-making Factory" was established in April 27, 1851, when under the Decree of emperor Nikolay I in Kasimov the company on manufacture of linen ropes was founded. The company developed, changed the name and a structure of manufacture: from linen ropes, a yarn, a thread, a twine up to linen and cotton nettings. And to the beginning of XX century it had tens various machines, about 30 preparatory systems, combing machines. At that time it was the big enterprise in the textile industry.

After October revolution when in the country appears the problem of the food supply, factory made important reequipment on manufacturing net-gear materials. At factory two big shops were constructed: in 1929 - spinning shop, in 1932 - net-making shop. Having constructed shops, having equipped with their new equipment, the factory year after year raised output, improved its quality, improved culture of manufacture.

The labour enthusiasm Kasimov textile workers was not reduced in a difficult years of 2nd World war when hundreds workers went on front. After war there were periods of reconstruction, translation of manufacture into new raw material: from flax on a cotton, from a cotton on kapron and the like. All this demanded additional efforts, but the highly experienced collective successfully coped with the tasks. In the sixtieth years at factory has opened manufacture on knitting gloves for the fishermen, equipped with the import (Japanese) equipment. Besides forces of mechanical shop the factory produced net-making and other machines for intrafactory using the and for the related enterprises of branch.
     At factory the big and comfortable settlement of textile workers has grown.
     Since the eightieth years wide enough assortment knotless polyamide complex yarn fishing nettings produced by the enterprise, and since 1998 processing of polyethylene monofilament, yarns, ropes, cords has began.

Today this modern enterprise occupying territory in 12 hectares, equipped with the high-efficiency equipment, allowing to make thousands tons of high-quality production annually. There is an incessant development of technical and technological base at factory, research and development of new kinds of production; satisfying customer's growing requirement, service is improved.
